This year we actually used the pumpkin carving tools and it made it much easier. We started the carving a little late and ended up finishing around 10:30 pm. The girls had fun, although Sienna didn't like to get her hands dirty from the pumpkin guts...isn't that the fun part of carving? Makenzie kept eating the pumpkin seeds and goop and Alyssa just dug right in and grabbed things. How all my Garcia girls are so different.
